  • My Loving Savior

If there were a biography about you, what would the title be?

If someone gave me the time to write about my life, I would like it to be a book that outlined how many exceptional gifts I received from my loving Savior and only that. God is the only one who can add. All I ever do is subtract. He is everything. I am nothing. My response of love to His love can only exist because He is love! Sometimes I look around and think, huh, do I believe in God? The obvious answer is yes, I do. That’s what my will says, and the rest of me consents willingly to. However, that answer falls very short of how much I believe in Him! It falls so short that it doesn’t capture anything of it. I cannot believe at all without His strength. Therefore, it takes Him to respond to Him. It was He who created me and He who saves me from my sins. He is, I am not. So, anything written about me would have to be about God and not about me. Anything good I have done in my life was His goodness. Anything bad was me… And I really wouldn’t want my faults and lack written about. That would be terribly embarrassing, unless it would be to show how I could not resist God’s irresistible love, how I was overpowered by His love despite myself! Because even my mistakes and weakness glorify Him, my loving Savior.

  • Entirely and Not at all

How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

Life’s a gift of love from my Creator. It’s a gift that He will never take away. It is eternal, and as such, everything that happens to it, good and bad, confirms this fact. Nothing can change His love, so nothing can change my response, while everything is a proof and a prompt for that response to return His love.
